Rehabilitation:
- all the painful conditions of the joints of the locomotor system (cervical spine, shoulders, hands, shoulder blades, lumbar spine, pelvis, hips, knees, ankle, foot)
- cerebral palsy, muscle atrophy, ALS, other pareses and plegias (with electrical stimulation of the head and neck)
- poor peripheral circulation due to damage to venous, arterial and lymphatic blood vessels
- osteoporosis as a result of poor physical activity
- bladder incontinence and frequent urination, lowered uterus, impotence
BellStim® electrical stimulation of the body
BellStim® electrical stimulation of the body is electrical stimulation of the muscles of the whole body for the purpose of:
- Cosmetic sculpting, firming and elimination (removal) of cellulite in:
- extremely thin people
- obese people and extremely obese people
- maintaining the ideal weight
- Elimination of water and oedema (swelling) from the body, and lymphatic drainage of the chest, armpit, abdomen, legs and joints
- Increased circulation and oxygenation of all the tissues
- Body detox
- Increasing the strength of all the muscles in the body as an complementary training for athletes
Find out more about BellStim Body
BellStim stimulates all the muscles of the body. Why is their simultaneous stimulation important?
Muscles are anatomically interconnected, so their synchronised contraction is important to achieve results.
Why does BellStim stimulate every single muscle with 100% muscle fibres and not just a part of each individual muscle with 5-20% muscle fibres?
Because the stimulation is more comfortable while achieving maximum results. Partial stimulation and only in individual places is too intense for those places, and at the same time too weak for the entire muscle or group of muscles.
How is this achieved?
Using the unique BellStim electrodes designed for individual anatomical regions of muscle groups or for individual muscles.
What and what types of workout and contractions occur during the BellStim of the body and bring it to the very top of workout efficiency in the world?
-According to the method of performance, the following are performed: passive, actively assisted, active independent and active workout with resistance or load.
–Workout for the maintenance of the maximum range of motion in all the joints
–Static stretching workout
–Strength, endurance, speed and co-ordination workout:
- Isometric –isometric contraction
- Isotonic – by concentric and eccentric contraction
- Isokinetic
-Contraction of fast and slow muscle fibres
When can the first results be expected?
The results are individual and depend on the initial condition: age, physical condition, body weight… In the same person, during BellStim workout, different parts of the body will behave differently depending on their initial condition.
After the first treatment of the whole body, you can feel an enormous ease of movement, which is the result of not only an intense 30-minute workout, but also the drainage of extracellular fluid that burdens the body (which is a precursor to the formation of cellulite).
What is the workout recommendation?
The workout intensity certainly depends primarily on the reasons for which the workout is done and the goal we want to achieve. Our goal is not only to get “cosmetic” results in the spring, (or the disappearance of some painful condition) but to design a preventive annual plan.
This means that workout of the whole body (possibly the face) and intensive workout of critical places (e.g. abdomen, buttocks…) is combined.
Irrespective of whether you opt for BellStim for aesthetic reasons or rehabilitation, both results are achieved at the same time. For example, if stimulation is done due to frequent urination, after 10 treatments, the abdomen, hips and buttocks are strengthened.
How does the workout affect the body?
The most important type of movement in the body is the movement of muscle cells, which make up 40% of body mass. The movement of skeletal muscle cells is referred to as workout.
Workout, especially regular workout, makes people, especially the elderly, more functionally capable than their inactive peers.
Workout achieves:
- Higher maximum aerobic capacity
- Better Economy of Breathing
- Lower resting heart rate and during workout
- Higher maximum heart rate
- Less propensity for heart rhythm disturbances
- Lower resting arterial blood pressure and during workout
- Better heart economy and function
- Greater absolute muscle strength, greater dynamic strength, endurance and dexterity
- Lower lactic acid levels
As opposed to workout, resting, sitting and lying down cause:
- Muscle atrophy, loss of effective length of muscle cells (fibres), decrease in strength, endurance and co-ordination
- Fibrosis of the joint capsules, ligaments and tendons, which reduces the range of motion of the joints and interferes with movement even more
- Osteoporosis of the bones
- Reduced function of almost all the hormonal glands
- Disorders in arterial and venous circulation
- Increase in the amount of adipose tissue
- Depression and lack of self-confidence
Effect of BellStim on restoration of bone mass.
The composition and metabolic balance of bones depend on the activity of the muscles, and on the moment of pressure and the tendon collagenous fibres attached to the bone. Muscle activity slows down the process of osteoporosis by constantly stimulating bone formation (on which bone regeneration is physiologically dependent), but it is also crucial at a younger age.
At a younger age, muscle activity increases the “peak bone mass”, to prime the skeleton against the processes of osteoporosis and osteopenia that are going to ensue. The larger the “peak mass”, the larger the “rest” of the bone. Progressive bone loss begins at the age of over 30, so bone mass at that age is of decisive importance for bone mass in old age.
Intense postmenopausal osteoporosis occurs in women 15 to 20 years after menopause.
It is for this reason that BellStim becomes one of the key treatments for the prevention and rehabilitation of osteoporosis.
